WHO WE ARE
On April 16th, 1994, in Barra do Jucu (ES), Corina Leite Ribeiro´s Association - ACOLE was founded and idealized by União Engenharia as an integration link between the company and the community. A non-economic institution based on good principles and teachings focused on developing mutual and sustainable actions promoting life quality and professional progress.
ACOLE develops activities with emphasis on education, professionalism, citizenship, income generation and environmental education, serving the local community and adjacent neighborhoods. To participate in courses and activities of Acole in Action program, it is necessary to sign up. Then, a triage and an evaluation process are done. During the courses and Acole´s continuous activities, periodic home visits are made to monitor students, as well as meetings with the parents so the family will be up dated on the child´s development, being a part of the program.
Over all Acole´s activities, over 300 people are seen daily.
OBJECTIVE
In addition to supplying emergency needs, Acole has a main goal of promoting sustainable development. Strengthening and reaffirming the importance of education and citizenship through conscious and equal participation, discovering the way to recover human being´s dignity through knowledge and skills for the job market.
